I know this should have been done awhile ago but haven’t gotten around to it.
We spent a little while working on the site navigation and placing correct tutorials in the correct categories.
Before, if you were to look under tutorials -> Visual Basic you would find both article and video tutorials, this is where we decided to categorize them (seperate them) so what we did was created a Articles menu plus the sub menus.
So now if you want to look for articles on Visual Basic you can hover over Articles -> Visual Basic and you will find all Articles on Visual Basic in this section and the same applies for the rest.

Where did the logo go?

You may or may not have been aware but we had to put the site in to maintenance mode for awhile due to some template issues we were having and some errors that came along with it.
Because it took awhile to resolve the error we were having it forced us to make that move
The theme as you know is back up and the logo is currently being under work in getting put back up, so hopefully soon

Logo Area

After working a little bit on the style we thought it would be kind of neat applying a effect to the logo area.
What i mean by this is if you were to hover the logo area, the logo will transition 360 degrees and will grow than when you take your mouse over the logo area it will position itself back.

Searching made easier

JD Site Care is about providing tutorials and tips so searching is crucial on this website.
We want to ensure that you can come to the home page and find what you are looking for instantly…yes, i mean instantly.
As soon as you hit the Home page you will notice a Google search box, type in what you’re looking for than click Search.
Results are pulled back instantly and your search results are displayed without any page refreshing.
If you want to disgard your search just click the X beside the Search button and it will restore itself back.

PSP Tutorials coming with new Author

We are going to have another author coming aboard JD Site Care that will be posting PSP tutorials.
Shouldn’t be long before she comes aboard so stay tuned for that.

Login/Registration a breeze

You will notice to the right a Login block, now when you login to JD Site Care you wont be redirected to another page, it’s now done using AJAX (Sweet Plugin)
When you register a modal lightbox will appear with the 2 fields required to register so signing up is a breeze and only takes a minute if that.

There are some more things we are working on but we’re just on the first stage of planning.
I don’t want to get into spacifics on it just yet just because we need to make sure that it’s a go (We are pretty sure it is) but we need to make sure first.
Once we do than we’ll start making posts along with progress updates, but until than enjoy the site the way it is now
