not 100% on what you are trying to achieve with combobox but figured by accident how to filter on the combobox
and there is no code involved.

Drag a cmbbox onto form > from smart tag select datasource > configure display items etc. Run the app and automatic filtered data on selected item happens.

The trick (I think) is the way the db is set up. In my case I used a foriegn key to join two tables then used the parent table as datasource for combobox
that way the filtering was automatic.

In your example you (I guess) wanted to filter on a single table?, not sure how that works.
