We need your help
In the previous post i had mentioned that there are some more things we are working on and this is a first step we want to take.
We were able to sit down and start a print on providing registered users the ability to write for JD Site Care.
So far everything is looking good and we think it’s time to start collecting feedback on this before we pursue in this feature.
We currently have a poll set up in the side bar to the right –> and we want to know if you were given that ability to write for JD Site Care how often would you make posts.
Why are we collecting this sort of feedback?
We want to have a idea of how many posts would be made so we know what to expect.
It’s also a first step before making a final decision on weather it would be worth providing this to users or not.
Why not just put the feature in use?
We could get this feature rolling and released but we feel at this point in time there’s no sense in having unnecessary space being used and with it being a feature that has the potential to open the site up more but we don’t want to have JD Site Care open with a blank space.
What about users who post articles that’s not relevant to JD Site Care?
That’s a valid question and here’s the answer.
Everyone’s account would be enabled for making posts but they would be monitored before being published live.
We can’t just have anyone register and post content that takes JD Site Care away from what it’s about so we need to make sure these posts are relevant to what we’re about.
We will get more into this as we get closer, just take it at face value right now that we don’t publish just anything.
What’s the purpose to this whole thing?
We are getting knowledge out there and we’re getting it out there free of charge and because of this our viewer base is increasing.
What this means for you is you can get your knowledge put out there as well and viewed.
We don’t believe in keeping a knowledge box closed, we believe that it should be open meaning we invite people to see what we know and what we can offer.
Anyways with those questions answered we have a lot more covered and have looked at a lot more outside of what you see here but the timing isn’t right yet to release those details.
Depending on the results of the poll we will release more as we progress and we will than spread more details around.
The poll will run for 1 week and will be closed Friday January 7 2011.
Based on the feedback we get in between that time we will keep everyone updated.
